Well, next Friday marks another phone change once again. I have been waiting patiently for VZW to release an Android based smartphone on their network for some time. As a heavy user of Google services, including Gmail, Gtalk, Youtube, etc, I couldn't wait to get a mobile that will allow these services to be more tightly integrated than they currently are with the Blackberries that I have been using for the past couple years.
I won't go on how cool the Moto Droid is looking from all the positive reviews its been getting, or videos of all the cool things you can do with it. I am truly excited for this phone, and I think it finally brings an "iPhone" like experience to us folk that are stuck with Verizon service here in the Midwest. As a bonus, because its an open platform, we wont have the issues of waiting around for apps to be approved or denied like the iPhones App Store.
I will try and give a few thoughts over the device when I get it next week. I don't think I need to do a full review because right now you can't swing a dead cat without finding those already on the web.
